Celebrity News: Kim and Kanye Tied the Knot!

Kimye Wedding: It's A Celebration in Florence

By: Stacy Shiffner

Fans of the whirlwind romance of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West can rejoice in knowing that the couple have said 'I Do' and are now officially husband and wife! Although the romantic backdrop of Paris was the setting for their pre-wedding festivities including Kim's bachelorette party, the couple said their vows this morning at Fort di Belvedere a stunning 16th century fortress in Florence, Italy.

Guests of the wedding included the bride and grooms' families, celebrity friends such as Jonathan Cheban, LaLa Anthony, John Legend, Kim's long-time friend Rachel Roy, and of course the couple's precious daughter, North.

Instagram
After guests were seen arriving, they were seated and awaited for Kim to walk down the aisle at sunset. To the live vocals of Andrea Bocelli, Kim was escorted down the aisle by her step-father, Bruce Jenner and lead to the flower-adorned alter to meet her groom. By her side were her bridesmaids including sisters, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie, rumored to be wearing Vera Wang gowns. Here, the bride and groom exchanged words and were pronounced husband and wife in front of their crowd of nearly 200 guests who clapped as the couple then made their way to their wedding reception, a fete adorned with marble tables and an off-white and gold color scheme.

We wish the very best to Kim and Kanye of their new marriage and look forward to sharing more about their wedding as details (and photos!) arise.

By: Amy Darwish

Naeem Khan's Spring 2015 presentation was a remarkable affair. A backdrop of terrific tree trunks added a touch of fantasy, while the wedding dresses were as romantic as any fairytale ever told. His collection was filled with inspired embellishments, from elaborate beading and ostrich feathers suited for royalty, to mystical capes for unique brides.

Here are some of our favorite trends and wedding dresses from the show:

Metallic Moments: Silver beading decorated these modern bridal gowns. Both of these Naeem Khan wedding dresses feature illusion necklines, which added a delicate touch.

Fashion: 5 Reasons To Consider Wearing a Short Wedding Dress

Trend Alert: Short Wedding Dresses
By: Stacy Shiffner

If you have not found 'the one' when it comes to your wedding dress, what do you envision yourself in? Traditional bridal looks are full length wedding dresses with all the bells and whistles, but if you are a bride who dares to be different, try picturing yourself in a short dress.

Here are 5 reasons to stop thinking long and start shopping for short:

Comfort & Flexibility
You will be moving and shaking all day long in your wedding dress so comfort is very much important. Between getting in and out of the car to dancing to using the restroom, a short dress makes maneuvering the days tasks easier and quicker. Plus, shedding layers of fabric will make your dress weigh less, making it more comfortable when you are getting around or even sitting down.

You Can Wear It Again
While bridesmaids often say they want a gown they can wear again, it isn't something that most brides can even consider. With a short wedding dress style it is possible. A cute cocktail dress can be worn again to parties or events. You could even have it dyed and wear it as guest attire to someone else's wedding.

Show Off Your Legs
It's your day and all eyes will be on you. While some brides will wear their hair up to accentuate their cheekbones or wear a sleeveless gown to show off their arms, you can show off your legs if they are your best attribute.

It's Less Expensive
Less fabric often equals less cost. When you choose to wear a short dress the price can be significantly less than that of a traditional dress and you can use that savings for other wedding essentials. Get a dazzling pair of shoes or upgrade your accessories with the money you'll save on your wedding dress.

It's Trendy
Short wedding dresses are trending right now as we've seen first hand on designer runways. From Jenny Packham to Demetrios, designers are taking note that brides are looking for short dresses to wear on their special day.

Planning: How To Include His Mom

Include Your Future Mother-In-Law in Wedding Planning!
By: Stacy Schiffner

It's easy to find ways to include your mother in the wedding planning process - after all, you've both probably been discussing details since before you were even engaged. What about your future mother-in-law? It's important to include your fiance's family in the planning process and with Mother's Day right around the corner, there's no better time to get his mom involved.

Photo: BananaStock/Getty Images

Here are some ideas to get the bonding started:

Wine and Dine Her
Is your future mother in law a fan of food and wine? Ask her to join yourself and your fiancé to your tasting or invite her to lunch at the location of your wedding. If she has a palette for fine foods, she might be the perfect person to tell you whether to serve beef or fish, the Merlot or the Malbec.

Consider Her Hobbies
Maybe your future mother-in-law enjoys craft projects, gardening, or baking. Think about the things she is good at and enjoys doing and you can include her on related tasks. If she's an avid gardener, bring her to the florist so she can compare Calla Lillies and Orchids. Does she bake the best cookies in town? Have her create some yummy favors that you can send your guests away with.

Work On Invitations Together
You will need your future mother-in-law's help with gathering mailing addresses for her side of the family, but consider taking it a step further. Ask her if she'd like to help you assemble the cards and stamp the RSVP envelopes. You can make a night out of it with her and your mom as well, as this is a great opportunity to get both families involved.

Include Her Musical Taste
Does his mom love to dance or have an ear for good music? Ask her to make a list of songs that she thinks will get the guests up and moving. After all, she's probably been to many weddings on her side of the family and knows what will get your fiancé's family out of their chairs.
